The latest in MRT
Performance's updates is a special collector for the exhaust gases directly exiting the
turbo.
A natural progression from rally development, the gasses from the turbine are separated from the waste gate gasses. A custom plate actually sits INSIDE the turbo, to match the steel casting, separating the flow immediately. This is only possible with close tolerances allowed on a special jig, designed by MRT. (Not possible on systems made "on the car" and not on a "jig" like most systems) All in a bid for perfect flow.
As the cat must remain in the original position to meet Aust Design Rules, the gasses mix 150 mm further down the pipe. On the rally car (no cat needed) they are kept separate almost 500 mm down stream.
The picture shows how this varies dramatically from the factory system.
