Exhaust compared to Modified WRX exhaust fitted to Liberty Legacy RS Turbo

MRT - "Hi Rod, what was your overall opinion of the MRT solution Vs what ya now
have Vs cost Vs effort to produce??"

ROD - "mrt exhaust is an excellent piece of workmanship. The difference between the full mrt and the full std system was huge. The difference between the std RS muffler bolted on the mrt turbo back system is also huge, very noticeable power increase. The difference between the mrt turbo back system and wrx muffler felt like i went back to the mrt muffler, without the noise. Of coarse it cannot be as free flowing but i cannot pick it.

Cost, well that comes with experimenting. My original intentions were to use the wrx muffler to cut open and fit a 3" inlet pipe into it and enlarge the internal pipe. This would give it extra internal flow with a slight restriction in muffler baffling. Would be same design as std but flow better. After discovering how bad the std RS muffler was compared to the rex muffler i couldn't be bothered doing the cut. Just replacing the std RS with the rex muffler was better. I could go one more step and do the cut and mods but performance wise i don't think i will be able to pick it.

Effort to produce... well i used to be a panel beater years ago and i like doing this sort of stuff. I find it interesting. Always looking for new ideas etc."
